Many young females asked me if it is hard to get into the IT field? And what kind of language they should learn?
Let me put it this way, this world that we are living in still has a bias on age. Therefore, if you are young, it is easy to get into the IT field. Otherwise, you need to work hard to get into. The reason I said that is because of my teacher who is working as an Engineer now. While I met him, he knew nothing about coding. Yet, he is able to code and work as a leader of the Engineer team. That is why sometimes I think this society is willing to give young people chances. And, they should give elders more chances as well. The reason is they seem to forget that fewer new babies are borns, yet more elders are living now. And, during the age of encouraging learning, a lot of elders even like to learn than younger ones.
Java is the one I will recommend to learn if you want to be a software engineer in a software company. And, Assembly is the one I will recommend to learn if you want to be an Engineer in a hardware company. The reason to learn java first is that there are a lot of programming languages that use Java as a base. Therefore, if you could code in Java well, you could learn other languages faster. Java could access front-end, Middleware and Back-end with different frameworks. For the Assembly, it is the same. Assembly is the language that is closest to how the hardware works. Therefore, if you are familiar with the Assembly, you could learn other languages such as C and C++ easily.
Therefore, it is easy to get into the IT field. Yes, it is. The language to get you into the IT field might be different. Yet, to know and learn from the base which is the suggestion that I could give.
